ARDHI UNIVERSITY SIGN A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH WOLRD BANK DURING THE LAUNCHING OF RAMANI HURIA 2.
The Vice Chancellor of Ardhi University Prof. Evaristo Liwa signed MoU with the World Bank on Ramani Huria 2.0 during the official launch of the project ceremony held on 26th September, 2017 at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Center.Ramani Huria 2.0 is a collaborative project between Ardhi University and the World Bank aimed at build skills and capacity to students to help map areas at -risk to natural hazard such as flooding and ultimately building a foundation for community resilience.
The project which started in 2015 has mapped 29 wards of Dar es Salaam providing detailed maps on infrastructure and potential hazards by collecting exposures information from building and drains.300 ARU students from Spatial Planning and Social Science are participating in Ramani Huria’s second phase.
