WORKSHOP ON ENHANCING QUALITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION DELIVERY HELD ON 4TH JULY, 2017 AT DMTC HALL
The workshop was on developing a Pedagogical Model for the Teaching and Learning of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to built Environment Students in Sub-Saharan Africa. It was specifically aimed at the Architects, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers and Construction Industry in general. The purpose of the workshop was to gather the views of local academics and practitioners on the current barriers to using BIM in Tanzania. It is planned for a funding bid to be created with the following organizations: University of Bath, Ardhi University, Makerere University, and University of Zambia, professional bodies like National Construction Council (NCC), Tanzania Building Agency (TBA), Architectures and Quantity Surveyors Registration Board (AQRB). The Presenter of the workshop was Prof. A. G. Copping from Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering, University of Bath-UK. Participants from Ardhi University were from the school of Architecture, Construction Economics and Management (SACEM).
